Hairstyles have always been changing from decades to decades. As there are numerous hair styles like black, short, curly hair styles, long hair styles, prom hair styles, gothic hair styles etc. both for men and women people can easily switch over to anyone of them. But usually, hairstyles are worn with the present decade trends.

The hairstyles of 1960s do not differ much from the 1950s, as there is a slight difference of the styles in the two decades. In 1960s, blunt cut and bob cut hairstyles very popular and were loved by almost every woman at that time. Blunt cut hairstyles are now generally worn by the teenage girls.

This hairstyle was much famous in 1960s and the most appreciable feature of this hairstyle is that it can be worn by women of any age. This cut was also famous back in 1920. This hairstyle was also called as B52 hairstyle and was the modified version of bouffant hair style. It was much appreciable in United States and was introduced by a hairdresser named Peter Cannon. It can be adopted by the hair which are not much wide but are long. This was one of the most fashionable hairstyle in the 1960s.

Vidal Sassoon Hairstyle

Another hairstyle which was very famous in 1960s was Vidal Sassoon Hairstyle. So called Vidal Sassoon cut was derived from his name. This style was very easy to adopt and it replaced many other styles that need hours to set up and he also introduced a new style named 5-point hairstyle which was the adapted version. There is one another hairstyle which was introduced by a woman named Jackie Kennedy. This hair style was called as bouffant hairstyle. In the middle of 1960s, it became very popular in Hollywood. Smooth gel and hair spray were used to have this hairstyle. This style in the 1960s always gave the glamorous look. It was widely appreciated by the schoolgirls. It gives the awesome look when formal gowns and mini dresses are worn with it. This style was not at all easy to setup and required a huge effort.

Flip Hairstyle

This hairstyle came in the late 1960s following the bouffant and beehive haircuts. The decade of 1960 end up with the simple and sophisticated hairstyles and this was one of the simplest hairstyle to do and gave a stunning look. There are numerous other hairstyles that ruled the 1960s decade.
